Bonjour à tous ,

Je vous présente une coque US-M1 ayant appartenu à un sous officier de la 90th US Infantry Division. Trouvée en 2010/2011 dans une ferme à le Plessis-Lastelle en Normandie . Petite commune située au pied du Mont-Castre. C’est à partir du 3 Juillet 1944 que la 90th ID se lance dans la bataille de La Haye-du-Puits. Les pertes vont être énormes pour cette division….
A la vue du secteur de découverte je pense au 357th Infantry Régiment.
La barre NCO à été gratté d’époque. L’insigne frontal a été peint à la main.
Elle a été passé légèrement à l'acide oxalique par son ancien propriétaire.
Elle va rester ainsi...

Monument dédié aux soldats de la 90th US Infantry Division « tough ombres », qui ont combattu du 3 au 12 juillet 1944 pour la libération du Plessis-Lastelle :
