I am Willard Hadjes' youngest daughter and would like to talk with you. One thing I would like to correct is that my Dad and his crew did not parachute out. He and co-pilot, Homer Kuck, performed a wheels up landing (belly landing) in a field. My Dad told me that the Germans were shooting the airmen in their parachutes and he and Homer said they were going to land it, but anyone who wanted to could bail out. No one bailed out and all survived the landing. Also, my Dad was native to Iowa, where he was born.
