"Kelsey Hayes was one of a number of manufacturers that built guns only for the military in WWII. They were one of the smallest of production numbers and all work was completed when contracts were cancelled after WWII was over. Since they did not build any guns after 1945 it is not possible for it to have been made after 1946. This is true of both aircraft and ground guns especially since the recievers on all M2's can be setup in either configuration. The M3 guns are slightly different but the M2's are pretty much the same. There have been very few manufacturers since WWII and many of the guns in use now were made back during the war. They are frequently rebuilt and many have had so many parts replaced that they are not the original WWII guns anymore but the paper trail goes back that far on them. . . .
Another good book to look into is Dolf Goldsmiths books on the Browning belt fed MG's."
En gros ça dit que le fabricant en question était un des plus petit en volume, et n'a produit ces mitrailleuses que pendant la seconde guerre mondiale.
